Precious Metals Charts Intraday

 

The Metals:

 

Gold fell $12.43 to $1244.87 at about 9AM EST before it rallied back higher for most of the rest of trade, but it still ended with a loss of 0.21%.  Silver slipped to as low as $16.332 and ended with a loss of 2.14%.

 

Euro gold remained at about €1121, platinum lost $14.50 to $1009.50, and copper fell slightly to about $2.06.

 

Gold and silver equities fell over 3% at the open before they rose to see about 2% gains by midday and then chopped back lower at times, but they still ended roughly 1% higher on the day.

Oil edged lower as the U.S. dollar index traded mostly slightly higher on mixed fed commentary.

 

Treasuries saw decent gains as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P fell on worries about interest rate policy.

 

Among the big names making news in the market today were FMC Technologies, Wal-Mart, and Bayer and Monsanto.
