Gold dropped $8.17 to $1215.23 in London before it rallied back to almost unchanged in early New York trade, but it then chopped back lower into the close and ended with a loss of 0.69%. Silver slipped to as low as $14.919 and ended with a loss of 1%.
Euro gold fell to about €1067, platinum lost $16 to $938, and copper fell a couple of cents to about $2.15.
Gold and silver equities fell over 2% by early afternoon and remained near that level for the rest of the day.
Tomorrow brings the Trade Balance and ISM Services.

Oil fell 3% on continued doubts over the ability to come to a deal to freeze output levels.
The U.S. dollar index ended lower in mixed trade and treasuries rose as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P drifted lower on expectations for weak earnings reports next week.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Tesla, Cerberus, and Alaska Air.
